Buckingham Palace!

As tonight was our 100th blog, we felt that we had to eat a very special meal to mark this important event. We didn't want to single out a country, so we found a recipe that the head chef at Buckingham Palace cooks for the Queen's garden parties and special events. A truly royal meal! It is called Jubilee Chicken, and is a magnificent dish of smoked chicken served with a creamy sauce, simmered with lime, ginger and thyme, and served with pasta. It was fabulous. We dressed up as Royals- Niamh was princess, Mum and Dad were king and queen, and Carter was a knight. What a splendid way to mark such a special occasion; we hope to have photos up soon. Please leave comments.

Wow, that sure is impressive! 100 new taste sensations to celebrate. I guess Jubilee chicken is an updated version of Coronation chicken, which was all the rage back in 1953 when Queen Liz was new to the throne. I bet you all had fun dressing up - can't wait to see the photos! I hope you all used your best manners since you were dining so poshly :-)

Not quite first with a comment but never mind. I am looking forward to seeing pictures too, sounds like a posh night and swanky dinner - not one you would be eating every night! It sounds really yummy, I love smoked chicken, maybe you could come and cook it for my birthday dinner in 7 months time

Cool! Was there any dragons? Carter would have had to slay them, being the Knight. Then you could have had Dragon Burgers! Flame grilled I'm sure. Well done you guys, 100 dinners from around the world! That's really impressive. Imagine what they would taste like if you mashed them all together!

Very very posh. I can imagine that you all scrubbed up very well. Drink your wine from one of your many silver cups hmmm? Not scheming up any Royality coups were we? I almost felt inspired to try something similar, but then the boys probably would miss their mince with something else cuisine that is the stock meal at this joint, which aint nearly as sophisticated as yours!
