Albania Despite none of us really being sure exactly where Albania is, we thoroughly enjoyed our Byrek me Spinaq- spinach pie made with filo and feta. Yum! Add to that the new season's asparagus and delicious green salad and we were feeling positively spring-like. Now we know that Albania borders Greece (which explains the flavours in the pie; very Greek), Macedonia (damn, haven't done that country yet!) and Serbia. We are about to have our Sheqerpare, cookies in syrup for dessert. Thanks for dining with us tonight, Aunty Rake.

I enjoyed joining your culinary adventure, thanks guys!
I was all inspired looking through your cookbooks yesterday and I have been at home today so have spent some time making tortellini from the Maria Pia book; some filled with pumpkin and some with spinach and pine nuts. I'm looking forward to having them for my dinner!
Hi I am home again now - inviting myself out for a meal of your choice, but yes, the fish balls and potato balls sound good. Have you been to Borneo or Sabah yet? They seem to eat lots of noodles and rice, and fish, though not as nice as our fresh fish. While we were at the resort they had cooking demos by the cafe on certain days but we just did not get to be there at the right time and day - one time I must admit we were too well ensconced poolside to bother! Also some indian influence in the meals.
For now I am going to catch up on some sleep.
