Italy? We kind of couldn't be bothered cooking tonight, so the kids had a home made pizza. I guess you could say that's from Italy... Grant cooked a beautiful Spanish meal for the grownups, which consisited of mushrooms tossed in breadcrumbs, parsley, lots of garlic, coriander seed, salt and pepper. He drizzled olive oil over it then baked it. This was seriously yum, served with a salad, and I would recommend everyone try this. It must be eaten with a good glass of sauvignon blanc.

Hi guys,
I got up this morning to watch France beat Spain in the soccer, so I thought you might like an easy recipe for French toasted sandwiches.
Croque Monsieurs:
INGREDIENTS:
8 slices bread
butter
250g Gruyère or other cheese, sliced
2 Tablespoons white wine
4 slices ham, cut to fit the bread
PREPARATION:
1. Place the cheese and wine in a the top of a double boiler and melt over hot (not boiling) water.

2. Working in batches, lightly butter bread and grill or fry until golden brown. Remove and keep warm.

3. Sauté the ham slices.

5. Spread 4 slices of the bread with the melted cheese and top with ham and another bread slice.

6. Scoff while hot!

Aaron and I are off to Sydney on Saturday, so we might be able to bring back an Australian recipe. (More pies?)
